A new brand identity for Drift, a real-time green energy retailer, including a logo, tagline, and design system with custom editorial illustrations. The brand idea is focused around creating and visualizing a world that runs on 100% green energy, every hour of the day, 365 days of the year, rain or shine, day or night. Drift's energy supply is sourced 100% from nature, so naturally, we worked to illustrate just that. Businesses can run on sunshine, wind and water, and Drift makes it possible.
Brand Activation:
RECs (Renewable Energy Certificate) are receipts of renewable energy created in the past and then sold to companies as a way for them to offset their carbon footprint. It’s like offering someone day old coffee for the same price as freshly brewed. Doesn’t make much sense does it?
So we brought RECs to life in a way that was easily digestible to all by creating our very own REC (Renewable Energy Coffee cart ) and gave 500 people a choice–fresh coffee or stale coffee brewed 5 days ago?
Interactive Installation:
To increase education of unique energy solutions, we brought green energy to life at the REBA (Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance) conference. We designed an interactive, large-scale LED installation leveraging Kinect motion technology that allowed attendees to discover Drift’s 100% green and instantaneous energy offerings. Through motion, attendees were empowered to animate an electron representing wind, solar or hydro clean energy sources. An adjoining digital touch screen experience gave guests control of the electron as they watched it react with intense, dynamic particle effects.
